Malaga or Malaka was founded by the Phoenicians around 770 BC.
Malaga Airport
Malaga Airport or AGP began its history in 1919 when Pierre Latécoère landed here with his Salmson 2A airplane. For domestic and international flights the airport was opened on the 12th of July 1946.
In 2010 the Malaga Airport handled more then 12 million passengers, 100.000 flight operations and more then 3.000 tonnes of cargo. An increase of more then 20% over the last 10 years.

Pablo Picasso
Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso or as most people know him, Pablo Picasso, was born in Malaga the 25th of October 1881 and is one of the most famous artists in modern time.
