Benahavís is actually the richest county in all of Spain. This is mainly because of the very private luxurious urbanisation La Zagaleta.

The town of Benahavís is a small genuine Spanish town between the surrounding hills. The town is famous for having very nice restaurants. I'll like to recommend you to, if you are hungry, turn of the coast road just west of San Pedro de Alcantara towards Benahavís. Take a stroll throug the town and have a nice meal.
